Gifts for the couple

Cash gifts are the Spanish way as a tradition wich says that you should at least cover the cost  of your meal at the wedding. Yes, probably it does not sound realy  nice that way, but this is the way here. It also helps  the guests with the stress of finding a proper gift . It is  between 100 and 150 euros per person but it also depends on the relationship with the couple, closer you are  with the couple the amount usually it´s higher.  Your presence at our wedding is of course  the greatest gift of all for us -nevertheless, cash gift would be very welcome.

Dress Code in Spainsh wedding

DOS AND DONTS:  For evening weddings (when the wedding ceremony takes place at or after 5:00 pm): Wear a long dress, long skirt or dressy jumpsuit. Spanish women often get their hair and makeup done for the occasion but of course it is not necessarily. A black dress is not considered appropriate, nor are:  thin beach dresses ,shorts ,t-shirts or flip flops.

Dress code is usually cocktail style unless there is a specific dress code, main thing is to  wear your best clothes to Spanish weddings.

The Icelandic TV Show

The TV show - Hvar er best að búa ? ( Where is best to live ? ) , is a TV series from Iceland and is shown on the television channel, Stöð 2. The host of the show is Lóa Pen and in the series she visits Icelanders around the worlds  who made their dream come true  of living abroad. She will visit us in our new house and interview us about what it is like to live on the Costa Tropical Granada and what we are doing and so on. She will also follow us to our wedding for the show  and  we are very excited to be able to participate in such a great show so we hope that all of out guests can celebrate with us in the same way even though the event is going to be recorded.
